Karmic Law: The Law of Change

Karmic Law: The Law of Change

This edition of the Karmic Law series is the Law of Change. The Law of Change states that history will continue to repeat itself until something different is done. That statement may hit home for the majority if not all of us because we live it. We ignore the fact that our behavior may be the reason for the repetitive angst we deal with. We know deep down it has to have something to do with us. Most of us don’t know of the Karmic Law of Change. We are given tests throughout life and if we seem to be getting the same test for a while, we need to start doing other things to resolve it. Change it up. If you were taking an actual test and failed, would you fill in the same answers the next time you take it? Of course not. So, why do we do it?

One reason would be the ego. As stated, some of us ignore the reason why life keeps giving us the same test. It is because of us. Only us. Yes, there are moments of life we cannot control but never can we fail a test life gives us because of outside forces. Our ego and the protection of it causes us to point in every direction but at ourselves. This in itself can be the “test.” Life may seem to be beating you up, giving you issues but is it because you deserve it or because you need to learn to look at yourself first when attempting to resolve an issue? Will you be presented with the same issue if you point at yourself and change your behavior? If you are going through a tough time, this question is worth answering. Life is trying to tell you something.

Another reason is complacency. You are a little too comfortable. This causes you to come up with every excuse in the book to resist change. You like where you are in life but you could be so much more. You refuse. I mean what is wrong with what you have? Well, nothing but if you are on a bronze level in life with the potential of gold why not give it a shot? More effort. More responsibility. Tougher decisions. Questioning yourself. Facing the possibility of failure. When things get hard the complacent people tend to shy away from the difficulty and justify it by stating how “okay” they are with what they have. If you see this in you, please don’t mask the fear you have with false humility. That is another cop-out and a dangerous one. You are telling yourself you are a good person for not aspiring to be more than you are. You see a fixable flaw in yourself and make statements like “nobody’s perfect” instead of addressing it.

In closing, the Law of Change also states that everything is in the process of becoming something else. You are here to live. If you are not changing, you are not living. Don’t hide from change. This is part of life. Get out of your way and live. Karma is not something that can be dodged. Embrace change and live every day or choose a daily death.
