As I sat down to write today, I intended to write about haters, but they seem to always get attention and get it first. I will give them their post because they help more than they think but next week. This is for the lovers. This is for the people whose minds are so busy they don’t have time to hate. This one is for the dreamers. I am a dreamer. We are the reason things progress in this world. We dare to believe in something that does not exist knowing one day it will. We take the weird looks, doubts, and turned backs in stride to the fruition of our dreams. We dream, think, plan, and do. That is the ideal approach then there is the rest of us. Some of us conceive many dreams but give birth to none. We’ll even carry it for a while, love it, nurture it, then leave it for death based on thoughts of non-dreamers.
Let’s discuss the ideal approach. Utilizing this comes from experiencing/seeing a successful dream-through-do process or via not knowing any better. Not knowing any better can be the best ally a dreamer has. This is usually a trait of a child or young adult. If you see this in someone don’t dare educate them on the possibility of failing. This is one of the few situations in life where blissful ignorance is okay. The approach is simple like most things are in life, but we feel it can’t be that simple and commence to running in circles. No, following this approach doesn’t mean that your dream will come true. This does mean that you are giving it a real chance. Failing to follow this process does guarantee your dream will not occur.
Dreams die when we don’t follow the ideal approach. There can be many reasons a dream dies but one that is preventable is staying in the dream-think stages of the process. Dreaming can be dangerous because dreaming feels just like the real thing. We’ve all had the “if I win the lottery”, “when I get this promotion”, “when I graduate” conversations and remember how great that felt. Well, that is how great it feels. It is momentarily amazing. Your mind is not lying to you. If you ever ran into a dreamer who seems to continuously dream, or you are that person, now you may understand the situation a little better. With this understood, you should be equipped with the knowledge needed to know you are just feeding yourself minutes of what could be everyday life.
In closing, all man-made things you see was a dream. Every business you’ve worked for was someone’s dream. Yes, you’ve helped a lot of people’s dreams come true and stay true. Do you feel you should have the chance to see your own dreams grow to the point others are helping to maintain or grow it? It takes a lot of work to get there and you have no guarantee of success but if it works out you’ll get to do something a very small amount of us get to do…. live their dream. So, are you in or not? No pressure.
Food for thought……You do the dishes.
